The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission proudly announces the appointment of their newest commissioner, Reverend Dexter Howard who will represent Arkansas Congressional District 3. He replaces former commissioner, Don Bland, who recently completed his appointed term of service with the commission.

The agency also congratulates their Executive Director, DuShun Scarbrough, on his recent nomination and award from the Arkansas State Employees Association for “Outstanding Employee of the Year.”

As the Arkansas Martin Luther King Commission enters in to a new fiscal year, they look forward to many exciting upcoming events;

  • Executive Director, DuShun Scarbrough’s trip to Washington D.C., August 27 to 29, 2011.  At the invitation of the King Center in Atlanta, Mr. Scarbrough will witness the unveiling of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, August 28, 2011.
